By Gwengo Goniwe 5A
Once upon a time a big girl called Amy Rehab and her dad were going on holiday. On December 21st they started their holiday. Amy and her dad were going to Johannesburg. She was so happy to see a wonderful country. They drove from Cape Town to Johannesburg.
On the way Amy saw some buildings and beautiful houses. They drove three nights and four days to Johannesburg. Amy got hungry when she saw a boy with an ice-cream with a cherry on the top. Then Amy fell asleep and saw everything she dreamt about. She saw a candy shop, toy shop and a lot of other shops.
They stayed in a Hotel called Blue Waters. It was a great hotel and they went to the beach before they had to leave Johannesburg.
Amy and her father went to Durban on their last holiday together. They had fun and did a lot of shopping. Amy had a great time travelling with her father and got to know him better.
When they were driving back to Cape Town they saw a lot of beautiful fantastic buildings, flowers, farms, fields and other fantastic places. They arrived back and went to their house in Summer Greens to a beautiful house full of happiness. Their family was happy to see them back safe at home.
The school holidays finished and it was time to go back to school. Amy Rehab was so happy to be back at school. That is the end of the Travelling Story.

A boy's favourite dream ( Author Unknown at time of publishing)
A Boy's Favourite Dream ( Author Unknown at time of publishing)
Chapter One
Imagine being rich and famous and getting spoilt every day. Once upon a time in England a young eleven year old lived. His name was Samuel Gregory Smith the Third. He was a disrespectful person and only cared about himself. Samuel Gregory Smith lived in Southampton in the South of England.
Samuel became a disrespectful boy and was getting involved with the wrong friends. These friends partied at midnight almost every day and drank beer almost every day and every night. He had a girlfriend named Amy McFeason and she was also very selfish. She lived in Liverpool with her mother.
When Samuel was seventeen he left home to go to his girlfriend’s house in Liverpool. Samuel’s dream was to play for his favourite soccer club called Manchester United. He adored lots of soccer players. One day Samuel had an accident on his way to Liverpool. He was being driven by his assistant in his stylish car and they crashed into the supermarket in Tottenham. Samuel fractured his knee and thought that his quest or journey to become a soccer player had finally ended.
Two weeks later he was watching television and wished his team well in a must win match in order to win the league. After half time he gets the surprise of his life when he sees his older brother playing in his favourite position as a striker. The second surprise was getting a message from the commentators saying that Smith’s brother is in hospital and his family would like to say that we miss though but go on with your dream and we love you.
Chapter Two
After a year and a half just as his family wanted he became a student at a high school in Tottenham. He couldn’t reach his dream destination although he was rich and famous. He congratulated his older brother on getting a spot in the first team in his favourite club. Samuel needed to go to school because he wanted start a new life alone.
The reason Samuel’s girlfriend was called selfish was because she kept everything that Samuel had so he ended it and so now he was on his own.
Samuel turned nineteen years old and got a scholarship at a local university in Tottenham for three years in music. His second wish was to become a musician, however he became a lawyer at the age of twenty two. He also started playing for Tottenham as a striker.
He recorded his first song as a rock artist called ’Somebody to Love’. His second song called ‘Jessie’s Girl’ came top of all the rock songs in the U.K.
So back to soccer, he was the top goal scorer scoring fifty seven goals, three goals more than one of his favourite players Miroslav Kantona.
Chapter Three
His behaviour changed through sports and music and he only liked his family and a girl he saw in an antique show. She was a lawyer and she was twenty one years old. So this was now the life of Samuel Gregory Smith. He didn’t really have time to juggle all of those careers so he dropped out of music for a while and continued playing soccer, his favourite dream.
It was the transfer window where you could buy loan and sell players. He got lucky and was transferred to his favourite club. He started playing in February and again was top goal scorer. Everybody loved him but fame was too much for him so it cost his team three goals in the final cup. They lost 3-1.
Chapter four
When Samuel was twenty three, he was accepted to play for his country and his first match that he played was against Croatia but they lost 2-1 because of his selfishness.
When Samuel turned twenty four he kept on wasting chances and then he got injured in training because his teammates were angry with him so they planned to take him out of the game. After four or five matches England and Manchester United were back on track as they won all their matches.
While Samuel was in hospital he got a word of advice from a person that went through the same thing when he was Samuel’s age. His name was Mario Gomez and fame had also become too much for him and it cost Germany the world cup. He told Samuel that life was too short for games and it inspired him to continue with his dream.
He met the girl he saw in the antique show and introduced himself. They got to know each other and after seven months Samuel popped the question and asked Marley Evans to marry him. She said ‘yes yes yes’ because she loved him.
Chapter Five
Marley and Samuel started their new life in Manchester. They had a lovely child called Catherine. Samuel Gregory Smith scored fifty goals in one season for both his club and his country. He was a very well known lawyer, soccer player and rock star. He sold sixty rock songs, scored two hundred and seventy goals in his whole soccer career and won seventy five law cases. He was the world’s most recognised person on earth and won the world’s best player award. At the age of forty five Samuel Gregory Smith quit soccer and singing and was a lawyer only.
That was the life of Samuel Gregory Smith.
The End.

Kidnapped
Once upon a time there was a boy named Mark. He had no friends. He was lonely and the people at the school did not like him because he had a scar on his face. One day there was a new boy at school. His name was Paul. In the other school they made fun of him also. They became friends. One day when they were coming home from school a black car appeared. The man said do you want to ride and Mark said Yes. They didn’t know that the man was a kidnapper. Mark saw a gun on his side. Mark said to Paul. ‘Paul he’s got a gun on his side.’ I will count one two three and then we will jump. They jumped. They found a big egg. They didn’t know where they were. They hit on that egg and the egg hatched. A dinosaur appeared. The dinosaur became their friend. They went back home and visited the dinosaur every day. The end.

Mbutho
Hi. My name is Mbutho. I live in Guguletu with my mother and my two brothers and my one sister. When I grow up I want to be a soccer player because I want the people can see me in tv when I am playing for a team. My wish South Africa was a great country and I wish I could go all the way and travel all this country. I wish I could go and see my father in Pretoria where he works. And I like to play with my brother even if he’s autistic. He is special about spelling words. When somebody in the tv says a word, he will spell that word and he wrote in his puzzles. I wish that I could live in a double storey with my family and I wish that I was a kind man and that all the people in South Africa were kind.
Nkosiphendule
Hi. My name is Nkosi. I am nine years old, going to be ten years old. When I grow up I would like to be a police. Because I will get criminals who do wrong things to the world. I wish for South Africa to be a great country to the world. I wish my family to be nice to people. I wish I was fifteen years old because when I’m fifteen I’m going to get lots of money from liberty life. I am going to buy my stationeries with R28 000.
Sophumelelo
One day there was a cat that had nowhere to go. A man came to the cat. ‘What is your name?’
‘Aya.’
‘Would you like to be my cat?’
‘Yes,’ said the cat.
The man gave the cat to his baby. The baby didn’t give the cat his food. The cat ran away. The baby cried. The man did not know what to do. He ran away. The baby cried more.
